| This postcard was written by my Great Uncle Frank. He was taken prisoner at the Battle of the Bulge and released a few months later when the war ended with no physical injuries save a broken toe from dropping a rock he was using to break up bed slats for firewood. He did, however, spend the rest of his life battling alcoholism and internal demons. |
